Jimmy and I put on an after party for the Sydney Laneway Festival. This was a week after the fairly shambolic Melbourne Laneway Festival, where half the crowd were shut out of the festival site and unable to see the closing acts. Of course I had no idea about that because I’d been playing in the VIP bar for 7 hours straight!!

Anyway the Sydney Laneway Festival, as always, was one of the better festivals of the summer. Rusko and Buraka Som Sistema killed it! The after party was great too, what I can remember of it at least…

A meal fit for a rising producer from Perth!

Every weekend in January I set my turntables up in the beer garden at the Annandale Hotel for their new take on Yum Cha/Dim Sum - Pub Cha. Basically they get all the hot shit you expect from Yum Cha, take it out of a restaurant and put it in a beer garden with booze and music.

I DJ’d every Saturday and Sunday with a little help from friends Kato, Magic Happens, Anna Lunoe, Captain Franco, Raf Daddy, Discopunx, Emillionz and Splitter. The vibe in the beer garden was pretty special. So were the dumplings.

I supported Girl Talk (for the fifth time in 2 years) at The Forum the other night and less than a minute into his set Girl Talk let 80 kids up on stage who just stayed there for his whole set, dancing and trying to take photos with Girl Talk.

The ‘Everybody Votes’ Wii Channel is an exciting place to discuss the important issues.

I cooked some really mean shit already this year. Here are some of the better dishes!

Fuzzy took all the Field Day artists on a 4 hour cruise through Sydney harbour. Of course I forgot to take my camera out for the entirety of the cruise, meaning that I missed out on photos of everyone swimming, getting tattooes and smashing the free buffet (for those photos try here or here).

Luckily though I did remember to pull the camera out at the messy cruise after party at some bar I can’t even remember.

The dancefloor was going nuts.
